Project Requirements

Our client didn’t want to make a risky bet with just any security system for their slot machine key and asset security. While needing to meet Gaming Commission compliance and reporting standards, the client also needed to be able to monitor and track the keys on a very tight schedule. If something were to happen, they would receive real-time notifications about missed returns or even unathorized access.

The Results

The gaming facility now has much tighter and more efficient key control, fewer key sets required, and real-time alerts of key activity. Replacing manual check in/out procedures has freed up staff for other tasks, and customized reporting is automatically sent to management. They have much better control over the management of key authorizations and key returns, which has lowered their operation costs.

Key Systems Custom Solutions – The Security Asset Managers are highly customizable. In many cases customers need to secure not just keys but access card keys and many other items. Key panels can be customized for these requirements. In a single SAM, for example, you can specify key positions and HID access card positions, securely keeping track of many types of assets. Additionally, access methods are: Standard PIN, finger print, hand reader, HID proximity (and others), magnetic card swipe and the list goes on. RA-Lock can assist you with the standard or custom solution that meets your specific needs.

Direct Key Entrapment – Another unique option from Key Systems is Direct Entrapment. Direct Entrapment refers to our ability to retain a sensitive key within one of your cores, housed in our SAM cabinets. Each key position within the SAM is fitted with one of your own facility cores to match the key you wish to trap. Cam lock, mortise and mogul keys are all eligible for direct entrapment. Concealing your key within one of your cylinders, rather than on a key ring, defeats several potential threats keeping your sensitive keys within a locked core is an additional and final layer of protection against theft from unauthorized users. Achieve the highest form of key security possible through direct entrapment.

Durability – Standard 16 gauge solid steel cabinet doors provide strong security for assets. Stainless steel hinges & door latches for extremely long life.

Longevity/Upgradeability – SAMs are essentially computers. All electronics can be upgraded to the latest available. There are many Key Systems SAMs 10 to 15 years old still running original electronics. To maintain reliable functionality and receive benefits of new features not supported by much older electronics, upgrade kits can be purchased at a fraction of the cost to replace an entire SAM. Upgrade kits include a warranty the same as a new SAM.
