The automotive manufacturer required locking systems for their mobile diagnostic carts, vehicle keys, and lockers to store items ranging from laptops to two-way radios. They also wanted a system for assigning access to specific items in all three applications, along with the capability to run audits and be easy to use. By utilizing Key Systems Security Asset Managers (SAM), we created a customized cart station with 24 units and a 16-position Key Box. Additionally, a 15-unit Custom Electronic Locker system was installed. All of these systems are linked together and can be easily managed with the existing pin codes and access cards associated with the automotive manufacturer. Furthermore, the network or cloud connection allows for auditing and programming via computer, tablet, or smartphone. Each employee only has access to the assets that are assigned to them, and there are alerts in place for any assets that are not returned in time. This new system has made operations and shift changes much more efficient, as staff no longer has to spend time searching for assets.
