Medeco Pay Telephone Locks

Medeco mechanical pay telephone locks are designed for both upper and lower housing applications on pay telephones manufactured by Western Electric and GTE. All models feature hardened steel inserts that protect against drilling and other vandal attacks on the cylinder. In addition to excellent protection against physical attack, Medeco features patented key control and pin tumblers that must elevate, rotate and align perfectly with the cylinders' sidebar, giving you double protection against picking.

All Medeco key control programs are based on unique Biaxial cylinder and key technologies which are protective by patent, trademark, and copyright laws. Keys may only be duplicated by Medeco or an authorized Medeco service center, and only at your request.

Western Electric Style Locks

All of the locks illustrated are designed for both upper and lower housing applications on pay telephones manufactured by Western Electric and Northern Telecom.

Standard Features:

• Hardened steel locking bolt and bolt actuator resist common vandal attacks.
• Hardened steel guard collar denters drilling
• High Security Medeco cylinder virtually eliminates threats from picking.

• Oversize hole in key fits freely on key ring shackles.
• Rekeyable.

Options:

• Hardened steel shield protects bolt and bolt actuator from frontal attacks.
• Snap action switch is activated as bolt moves from locked to unlocked position. Can province monitoring of collections and service calls and record unauthorized entries.

1 Upper Housing locks are supplied keyed alike, less keys. Bright chrome cylinder.
2 Lower Housing locks are supplied keyed individually with 2 keys per lock. Satin chrome cylinder.

GTE Style Locks

Applications:

The above locks are designed as original equipment for pay telephones manufactured for GTE and the Cocot Market by Quadrum and others. Suitable for field retrofit in phones with GTE style locking mechanism.

Features (Lower Housing Lock):

• Sintered steel spanner nut assures maximum torque for secure mounting to phone case
